On Tuesday, Jan. 10, around 3:30 p.m., police in Peekskill responded to the 500 block of North Division Street between Constant Avenue and Phoenix Avenue, where the boy was struck by a grey Honda Civic driven by a Cortlandt Manor resident, according to Lt. Jack Galusha.

The boy had been hit while crossing North Division Street from west to east in a part of the road that did not have a crosswalk. He was immediately taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was in stable condition on Tuesday evening.

The driver of the Honda Civic, which had been traveling north when the collision happened, remained at the scene while police responded and was not issued any tickets or arrested, Galusha said.
